I prefer digital too but sometimes real paint is fun. Though that's why I went with watercolours instead of acrylics as I find watercolours are a little more forgiving. *nods* Yours is very striking [Jitter] and really catches the eye.

Personally I hate watercolours and I think the hate is mutual.. Acrylics feel loads like photoshop because you can layer them:) At least when working on canvas
I'd give anything to be back to school and not have to work :s

Yer welcome Jitter! XD I've found that you can layer watercolours too but its really tricky that's for sure, especially since the colours like to bleed together if the paper or the brush is too wet. -_- I need more practise with acrylics. I've only really used them on ceramics and metal and then it wasn't anything too fancy.

You're right though. The only way to get a doctorate is to win the lottery I think. >< My friend who has the doctorate was working as a professor at the university he was studying at otherwise he wouldn't have been able to afford it.

With the theme being 'Take Me Away', I thought I'd draw something that is my favourite method of getting away from things: playing one of my characters in an RP. The drawing was done in pencil then scanned and reprinted before I coloured it using Prismacolour pencils ('cuz I was way too chicken to colour the original). ^^;

I had pretty hard time getting the pic, we got thunderstorm after another (4 clouds) and I didn't want to go to water while it was still around 'cause I've been near when the lightning strikes the water and it's not cool. And then the sail got wet and broke down :D
But explanation; I'm obsessed with water and I hope one day I could go on a boat and just sail away of everything that makes life hard. Spend the rest of my life in/surrounded by water...
